As the tear rolls
Down your face
It leaves a trail
For you to trace
So much emotions
In just one place
Makes it hard to control
Your face...


Foolish glow
I'm not so bright
Stop trying to light me
I like being dim
It helps to blend in
The candle is too bright
I can't see past it
Darkness is soothing
It's endless embrace
It's familiar face
It's lingering haze
Foolish glow
Stop trying to reach me
I need to be in it
In its endless embrace


I escape into your illusions
I rest on your visions
I feed on your sadness
I quench on your tears
I die for your breath
I live by your pulse


The light you
give off makes
me feel I'm
alive and able
Everything beautiful
But why do
you shine on
Something that is
Dull?
When you disappear
